What Premium Tender Buyers Usually Prioritise

In the air-deck category, different brands aim for different outcomes — compact stowage, lightweight handling, or heavier-duty “daily-use” feel. If you’re doing regular transfers in sun and salt, buyers typically prioritise fabric durability, seam integrity, transom strength and safe boarding.

✅ Daily tender owners care about
  • Stable boarding for guests/kids/pets
  • Strong transom for petrol or electric outboards
  • Seams designed to stay tight over time
  • Fabric that handles UV + abrasion
  • Easy pack-down without a “flimsy” feel
🚀 What Aerowave is built to deliver
  • 1.2mm Valmex® 2000D PVC for durability
  • Fully thermo-welded seams (reduces reliance on glue)
  • Aluminium transom for long-term strength
  • High-pressure air-deck for safe footing
  • Australian support + setup guidance
Simple way to choose:
If your priority is maximum compact stowage, many air-deck tenders can suit.
If you want a tender engineered for daily transfers and long-term ownership, Aerowave is built to a higher spec.
Ownership Outcomes You’ll Notice
  • Board guests with more confidence thanks to a stable, high-pressure air-deck underfoot
  • Own with less worry over time using thicker fabric and thermo-welded seam construction
  • Run your outboard with more confidence on an aluminium transom built for long-term tender duty
  • Pack down and store more easily without stepping into a flimsy-feeling daily-use tender
  • Get support when needed with Australian guidance on outboards, accessories and setup

Head-to-Head: Zodiac Cadet Air-Deck (Aero) vs Aerowave Air-Deck

Disclaimer: Zodiac is a registered trademark of its owner. Easy Inflatables is not affiliated with Zodiac.
The comparison below is a general, buyer-oriented overview. Specifications, materials and construction can vary by model, year and market. Always verify current specifications with the manufacturer/dealer before purchase.

Both are air-deck tenders designed for compact storage. Many buyers choose based on whether they want
brand familiarity and ultra-compact stowage, or a heavier-duty ownership spec feel with thicker fabric and welded seams.

Buyer Focus Zodiac Cadet Aero (Air-Deck) Aerowave Air-Deck
Core goal Compact stowage + air-deck tender convenience Daily-use tender feel (built for long-term ownership)
Floor concept High-pressure inflatable floor category High-pressure air-deck (safe footing + easy storage)
Fabric / build spec Varies by model/year/market 1.2mm German Valmex® 2000D PVC
Seam method Varies across the range Fully thermo-welded seams
Ownership support Dealer network dependent Australian support + help choosing outboard/accessories

Bottom line:
If you prioritise brand familiarity and ultra-compact stowage, air-deck tenders like the Cadet concept make sense.
If you want a tender that feels more “commercial-grade” for frequent use, Aerowave is built to a tougher ownership spec.

Need an Offshore-Capable Inflatable Instead of a Tender?
For coastal runs, fishing reefs and higher-speed performance, our Custom Built Aerowave Sports Boats are designed as “real boats” —
deeper V behaviour, rigid floors, and serious structural spec.

Best For

  • Yacht tender duties & guest transfers
  • Shore runs from mooring to marina
  • Owners wanting compact storage + fast inflation
  • Petrol or electric outboard compatibility

Not Designed For

  • Heavy offshore conditions
  • High-speed performance boating
  • Ultra-budget recreational inflatables

Frequently Asked Questions

A premium yacht tender should answer the practical ownership questions clearly. These are the questions buyers usually ask before choosing an air-deck tender for serious daily use.

Daily use

Is the Aerowave Air-Deck range suitable for daily yacht tender use?

Yes. That is exactly where it is designed to shine. The range is built for regular marina runs, shore transfers and repeat tender duty, with thicker fabric, a welded seam approach and a stronger transom than many occasional-use inflatables.
Boarding confidence

What makes this safer and more confidence-inspiring to board?

The high-pressure air-deck floor gives a firmer, more stable feel underfoot than softer low-pressure designs. That matters when guests, kids, pets or groceries are moving on and off the tender in real-world marina conditions.
Materials

Why does 1.2mm German Valmex® matter on a tender?

Because tenders live in harsh environments. UV, rubbing against jetties, dragging gear, repeated inflation and salt exposure all add up. Higher-grade Valmex® fabric is chosen to improve abrasion resistance, UV confidence and long-term ownership value.
Outboard use

Can I run petrol or electric outboards on these tenders?

Yes. These tenders are designed to suit short shaft petrol or electric outboards, depending on the model. The aluminium transom helps provide stronger long-term support for regular tender use.
Storage

Are these still easy to store onboard?

Yes. That is one of the biggest strengths of the air-deck format. You still get compact onboard storage and easier pack-down, but with a more premium ownership feel than many lighter-duty marina inflatables.
Setup speed

How quickly can I get one ready to use?

With the included manual pump, setup is straightforward. Most owners who want faster daily launches choose the 22 PSI electric pump upgrade because it makes inflation easier, quicker and more premium for repeated tender use.
Registration

Can these tenders be registered in Australia?

Yes. They are delivered with certification plate, HIN and Statement of Conformity documentation to support registration requirements where applicable. Some states may still require a separate inspection or Boat Code process.
Support

What support do I get after purchase?

You get Australian-based support for setup questions, outboard matching and accessory advice. That matters because long-term ownership confidence is not just about the tender itself — it is also about who helps when you need answers later.

  3. Stuart. J

Recently purchased the 300mm yacht tender boat, it’s just as good as a Zodiac or Highfield Boats, and i saved about 40% off there boat prices. I was a little worried the boat would not turn up on time, but it did, right on 29 days as Easy inflatable promised me. I live and work just outside of Airlie Beach so delivery was still free. The tender itself is really good quality, i cannot fault it. I did some digging around and I believe these tender boats are manufactured in one of the smaller Zodiac factories overseas. Thanks Karen and Sean for all your assistance, i was also wrapped with your customer service as well. Thanks again Stuart
