Hear it from us

“Australian weekends are too short to spend them patching a thin hull. We build ours thick, price them landed, and pick up the phone when you call.”

If you've owned a cheap inflatable, you've already felt this

The three ways a cheap inflatable boat lets you down.
And the one build that stops them all.

Aerowave boats are designed to stop the failures you see below from happening. We're solving problems — that's what we do. The cheap inflatable market is full of boats that come unglued, tear, or blow out when you need them most, and we're fixing it.

If you want to buy a cheap boat, expect this to happen. And if you want a cheap boat, don't shop here — you won't find it. We only sell the best build the industry can make right now, which means the longest durability and the longest longevity of any inflatable on the market. Buy an Aerowave inflatable and you're buying 10 to 12 years of service life. Want even more again? Upgrade to Orca Hypalon.

Inflatable boat sinking on the water after a seam failure
01The problem

The seam peels apart while you're on the water

This is what seam failure looks like when it happens underway: the tube opens, the chamber loses pressure, and the people on board are suddenly dealing with a boat that is sinking underneath them. A glued seam is two pieces of fabric held together by adhesive, and heat, UV and pressure can eventually beat it.

How Aerowave fixes it

Thermo-welded seams, fused into one piece

Our seams are fused — the fabric becomes one continuous piece, so there is no adhesive line to let go. And because the hull is 1.2 mm, the weld has a third more material to bite into than a 0.9 mm hull gives it.

Welded · 1.2 mm weld depth

Long tear down the side of an inflatable boat hull
02The problem

A tear down the side ends the trip

A mooring pole, a submerged branch, an oyster edge, or just running her up a gravel ramp all season. In a thin hull that is a long tear and a repair bill — and it usually happens on the day you least want it to.

How Aerowave fixes it

1500 GSM / 1.2 mm VALMEX® Heavy Plus hull

A third more material between you and the water than the 1100 decitex / 0.9 mm hulls this class is built from, plus an extra protection layer bonded under the tubes and keel. Run her up the beach — that is what she is built for. Orca Hypalon is available if you want more again.

1.2 mm vs 0.9 mm · 10–12 year fabric life

Inflatable boat collapsed flat on a beach after losing air
03The problem

A blowout while the boat sits in the sun

The boat sits in the sun while you have lunch. The air inside expands, the tubes go drum-tight, the hull passes its rated pressure — and a chamber lets go. Nobody was even near the boat.

How Aerowave fixes it

Over-pressure relief valves on every chamber

Fitted as standard on every Aerowave. The boat bleeds off the excess pressure by itself while it sits there, so heat expansion never reaches the seams. Most boats in this category simply do not have them.

Standard on every chamber

If any of these three failures sound familiar, the problem wasn't bad luck — it was the build. And the fix is a boat built to stop all three.

Delivery & landed price

The price you see is the price that lands.
No freight line. No import surprise.

From 1 August 2026 delivery is included in the price of every boat and boat package. In Australia your price is fully landed — freight, GST, import duty and customs clearance are paid before your boat ships. On the 16 international lanes below we pay the express air freight in full. Door-to-door transit is 7–10 days once the express waybill is live, and your tracking link comes from the freight forwarder about 2 business days after the boat leaves the factory.

Fully landed

The import bill that lands after you have already paid

We removed that problem too. Australia is freight, GST, duty and customs clearance included. On our 16 express-air lanes the freight is on us. One price, no hidden freight charge.

The only thing we cannot waive is import duty and VAT/GST, set by the local government. On DDU lanes — New Zealand, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Vietnam and the Solomon Islands — those charges are still settled with the carrier on arrival.

Where we sit — measured, not claimed

Here's how the numbers stack up against the two boats you're most likely comparing us with.

No adjectives. Hull thickness, warranty term, certification, transom height and the price that actually lands at your door — ours against theirs, taken from their own published spec pages. What a spec sheet can't show you is year three — that's the Aerowave Owner Promise below.

Landed-cost comparison of all three 3.8–4.0 m packages — boat, the accessories you would need to match our package, and delivery to Australia. No adjectives, no opinions — just the published specs, prices and warranty terms.

We take the family out every weekend now. Rides like a dream and packs down small enough for the garage.

Best inflatable I've ever owned. The 12 PSI air deck is rock solid. Customer service was excellent from start to finish.

Worth every dollar. Loaded it up with the family and gear and it cruised the bay all day. The Bimini saved us from the sun.

See it for yourself

Real boats. Real owners.
Real people behind them.

Plenty of what you read online these days is generated. So don't take our word for any of it — look at the factory floor, read what Australian owners have published on Google, and hear what actually went wrong with the boat they owned before this one.

Inside the build

Your boat is welded, not glued.

Every hull is built to order: a four-step thermo-welding process on every seam, over-pressure relief valves on every chamber, and 1500 GSM / 1.2 mm German VALMEX® Heavy Plus through the wear layer — a 10–12 year fabric service life. These are photos off our own production line, not stock imagery.

Everything skippersask before they buy.

Warranty, registration, finance, delivery and the bits in between. Can't see your question? The crew is one call away.

Fair question — and yes, some of our emails and website copy are AI-assisted. We would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise; it is the way the world is going and, like any business marketing its products in 2026, we use the tools available. The practical reason is that every one of our boats is custom-built to order and shipped straight from the production line to the customer — it never comes to us first for photo shoots or a showroom floor. That is what keeps the price where it is, but it also means a small Australian family-run team leans on technology to answer questions quickly, at any hour, and keep specs and pricing accurate. What is not AI: the boats, the fabric, the welded seams, the warranty, the people who pick up the phone on +61 2 4335 1603, and the Australian owners who left our reviews. See the boats being built on our manufacturing page, read our 21 five-star Google reviews, see real owners using their boats in Owner Stories, or read the full answer at /why-we-use-ai.
