Customer Order, Payment & Refund Policy

This policy explains how Easy Inflatables manages custom-built orders, deposits, final payments, ownership, delivery, cancellations, refunds, returns, warranty claims and Australian Consumer Law rights.

Important Purchase Notice

Most Easy Inflatables boats, kayaks, outboards and selected marine products are custom-built, imported, specially ordered or allocated specifically for each customer. Once production, supplier commitment, factory scheduling, material allocation, freight planning or fulfilment has commenced, deposits are generally non-refundable except where a remedy is required under Australian Consumer Law.

Ownership transfers only after full cleared payment.

Production Orders & Deposits

Many Easy Inflatables products are not standard shelf-stock items. They may be custom-built, ordered from a manufacturer, allocated from a production run, imported, modified, packaged or freight-planned specifically for the customer.

  • Standard custom production orders require a 50% deposit unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • The deposit secures production capacity, supplier allocation, factory scheduling, materials, administration and fulfilment.
  • Once production, supplier commitment, material allocation, freight booking or order fulfilment has commenced, the deposit is generally non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • Where a refund is approved, Easy Inflatables may deduct reasonable costs, losses, supplier charges, freight costs, storage costs, payment fees and administration costs already incurred.

Ownership & Final Payment

Payment of a deposit does not transfer ownership, title, possession rights or registration rights in the goods. Easy Inflatables retains ownership until the full purchase price and any agreed charges have been paid in full and cleared.

  • The final balance is due within 7 business days after Easy Inflatables notifies the customer that the order is complete or ready for dispatch, collection or release.
  • Goods will not be dispatched, collected, delivered or released until full cleared payment has been received.
  • Registration paperwork, HIN details, compliance documents, tax invoices, accessories and related goods may be withheld until payment clears.
  • Ownership transfers only after Easy Inflatables receives full cleared payment.

Customer Default, Storage & Resale Rights

If the customer does not pay the final balance after being notified that the order is complete or ready, Easy Inflatables may treat the order as being in default.

  • Easy Inflatables may withhold dispatch, cancel the order, reallocate the production slot, place the goods back into stock or resell the goods.
  • Easy Inflatables may retain part or all of the deposit to recover production, supplier, factory, material, freight, storage, resale and administration costs.
  • Storage, handling or administration charges may apply after 7 business days if goods remain unpaid, uncollected, unreleased or undeliverable because of customer delay.
  • Easy Inflatables may recover reasonable shortfalls or losses caused by customer default where permitted by law.

Cancellations, Refunds & Returns

  • Change-of-mind cancellations are generally unavailable once production, supplier allocation, factory scheduling, special order processing, freight booking or fulfilment has commenced.
  • Custom-built boats, kayaks, outboards and special-order products are generally not cancellable once ordered, allocated, processed, built, dispatched or in transit.
  • Return requests must be approved by Easy Inflatables before goods are sent back.
  • Returned goods must generally be unused, uninstalled, uninflated, unassembled, complete, undamaged and in original condition.
  • Unless required otherwise by Australian Consumer Law, the customer is responsible for return freight, packaging, insurance and related return costs.

Delivery, Freight & Customs

  • Delivery and production timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
  • Delays may occur because of manufacturing schedules, customs, port congestion, freight providers, couriers, warehouse handling, suppliers or international shipping conditions.
  • Delays outside Easy Inflatables’ reasonable control do not automatically create a right to cancellation, refund or compensation unless required by law.
  • Customers must provide accurate delivery details. PO Boxes are not suitable for large marine freight.
  • Additional freight, remote-area, redelivery, failed-delivery, storage or handling charges may apply where caused by customer error, unavailable access, incorrect details or delayed customer response.

Delivery Inspection, Damage & Missing Items

  • Customers should inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
  • Visible transit damage, missing items, shortages or delivery issues should be reported in writing within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Please provide clear photos of the packaging, shipping label, pallet, carton, damaged area and affected goods.
  • Easy Inflatables will assess legitimate delivery claims and respond in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Faults, Defects & Warranty Claims

If goods arrive damaged, defective or fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees, Easy Inflatables will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy where required by Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement, refund, compensation or another remedy required by law.

Events Outside Our Control

Easy Inflatables is not responsible for delay, suspension, increased freight cost or inability to fulfil an order where caused by events outside our reasonable control, including supplier delays, factory shutdowns, customs intervention, port closures, freight disruption, government action, natural disasters, material shortages, industrial action or major supply chain interruptions.

Australian Consumer Law Notice

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. Customers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Customers are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I own the boat after paying a deposit?
No. A deposit secures production or allocation only. Ownership transfers after the full purchase price and any agreed charges have been paid in full and cleared.
Why is the deposit generally non-refundable?
Because the deposit is committed to production, suppliers, factory scheduling, materials, administration and order fulfilment once the order commences.
When is the final balance due?
The balance is due within 7 business days after Easy Inflatables confirms the order is complete or ready for dispatch, collection or release.
What happens if I do not pay the balance?
Easy Inflatables may withhold dispatch, cancel the order, resell or reallocate the goods, retain reasonable costs from the deposit and recover losses where permitted by law.
Can I cancel a custom-built order?
Generally not once production, supplier allocation, material allocation, factory scheduling or fulfilment has commenced, unless Easy Inflatables agrees in writing or a remedy is required by law.
What if my goods arrive damaged?
Please contact us in writing within 48 hours with clear photos of the packaging, labels and affected goods so we can assess the issue quickly.
