This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect your information when you visit our website, contact us, or purchase products from us — whether you are in Australia or overseas.

This policy is written to meet the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) and, for customers outside Australia, the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, Canada's PIPEDA and comparable privacy laws in the countries we sell to.

Dealing with us anonymously

Where it is lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym — for example, when browsing the website or asking a general question. We cannot process an order, arrange delivery, provide finance information or handle a warranty claim without your real name and contact details.

Your privacy matters

Secure handling. Personal information is handled using reasonable security practices designed to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Transparency. We aim to clearly explain how information is collected, used, disclosed and stored when you interact with our business.

Data minimisation. We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for providing our products, services, website functionality and customer support.

Responsible use. Information is used for legitimate business purposes such as processing orders, improving services, complying with legal obligations and communicating with customers.

Access & correction. Where appropriate, you may request access to personal information we hold about you and request corrections if that information is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

Retention & disposal. We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required for business, legal, accounting, warranty, support or compliance purposes, then securely dispose of it where appropriate.

Controlled sharing. Where information is shared with service providers such as payment, freight or website platforms, it is limited to what is reasonably necessary for those functions.

Respectful communication. We aim to use your details responsibly when responding to enquiries, processing orders, providing updates or sending communications you have requested or agreed to receive.

Information we collect

We may collect personal information when you place an order, submit an enquiry, subscribe to updates, request support, complete a form, or otherwise interact with our website or business. This may include your name, email address, phone number, billing or delivery address, order details, and other information relevant to your enquiry or purchase.

We may also collect limited technical information such as your browser type, device information, IP address and website usage data.

How we use your information

Sharing your information

Easy Inflatables does not sell or rent personal information. However, we may disclose information to trusted third-party service providers where reasonably necessary to operate our business, including payment processors, freight providers, website platforms, IT providers, marketing platforms, warranty/service partners and professional advisers.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, to enforce our terms, to protect our lawful interests, or to respond to lawful requests from regulators, courts or government authorities.

Cookies & tracking technologies

Our website may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools and similar technologies to improve functionality, understand visitor behaviour, remember preferences, measure campaign performance and enhance user experience. You may be able to control some cookie settings through your browser or device settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the website function.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information using technical, administrative and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. However, no online system, website, email transmission or storage platform can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant the absolute security of information transmitted to or from our website or systems.

Data retention

We may retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, including for legitimate business operations, customer support, warranty matters, dispute resolution, record-keeping, taxation, accounting, legal compliance and regulatory requirements.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, request corrections, withdraw consent to certain communications, or request that we stop sending marketing communications. We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests, and in some circumstances we may be permitted by law to refuse a request.

We will respond within a reasonable time — within 30 days for Australian requests, and within one month for requests made under the EU or UK GDPR (extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you).

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and in limited circumstances the law permits us to refuse a request or charge a reasonable cost for access. If we refuse, we will tell you why in writing and explain how to complain.

Payment card information

We never see or store your full card number. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's hosted, PCI DSS compliant payment pages. Where you have agreed to a staged payment plan, Stripe (not Easy Inflatables) securely stores the payment method used for later instalments. We receive only the last four digits, card brand, expiry and the payment result.

Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme (Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988). Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of a qualifying breach, and notify affected individuals where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights.

Children

Our products and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you using automated processing alone. We do use analytics and audience tools to measure website performance and show relevant advertising; this never determines your price, your warranty or whether we accept your order. Finance applications are assessed by our finance partner under its own terms and privacy policy, not by us.

Marketing communications — email, SMS and push notifications

Where you have provided your email address, mobile number or opted in on our website, we may send you marketing communications by email, SMS (including abandoned-cart reminders, order updates and promotional offers) and web push notifications (via easyinflatables.com.au).

You can opt out at any time by:

• clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email;
• replying STOP to any marketing SMS;
• disabling notifications in your browser or device settings for push messages;
• emailing sales@easyinflatables.com.au.

Transactional messages (order receipts, deposit confirmations, balance invoices, dispatch notices, freight updates, warranty correspondence) are not marketing and will continue to be sent for as long as required to fulfil your order or comply with our legal obligations.

International data transfers

Because we ship internationally and use overseas service providers, some of your personal information is necessarily disclosed to or stored by recipients outside Australia. This may include:

• Overseas freight-forwarding agents in Hong Kong and our manufacturing partners' logistics teams (for DDP shipments — name, delivery address, phone number, order reference);
• Stripe (United States, Ireland) for payment processing and the secure storage of card details for balance auto-charge;
• Resend, SendGrid and similar email/SMS providers (United States, European Union) for transactional and marketing message delivery;
• Cloudflare (global) for website hosting, DNS, edge delivery and security;
• Supabase (United States, European Union, Singapore) for our application database, file storage and authentication;
• Google (United States, global) for analytics, advertising, reCAPTCHA, Maps and translation services;
• Microsoft (Australia, United States, global) for Outlook email infrastructure;
• AMMF (Australia) when you submit a finance application;
• DHL, UPS, FedEx and ocean carriers (global) for international freight and DHL Express shipments.

Where we transfer your personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure each recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP 8). However, by providing your personal information for an international order or by using our website, you acknowledge that some information will be processed in countries with privacy regimes that differ from Australia's.

Cookies, retargeting and analytics

We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies from Google (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager), Meta (Facebook/Instagram pixel), TikTok, Microsoft Clarity and similar platforms to measure website performance, run retargeting advertising, and improve the user experience. You can control these through your browser settings, Google's Ads Settings and similar opt-out pages for each platform, or by emailing us to ask that we stop using advertising and analytics cookies for you. Cookies that are strictly necessary to run the website, keep your cart and process a payment are always used, as they are required to deliver the service you asked for.

Consent for visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland. If you are browsing from the EU, EEA, the UK or Switzerland, no analytics or advertising cookie is set until you choose "Accept" on the cookie notice shown at the bottom of the page. If you choose "Essential only", we load no Google, Meta, TikTok or Clarity tracking at all — only the cookies needed to run your cart, checkout and session. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies and site data in your browser, which brings the notice back.

If you are in the EU, UK, New Zealand, Canada or another overseas market

Why we are allowed to use your information (GDPR legal bases). Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

• Performance of a contract — to quote, take payment, build, ship and support your boat, and to handle warranty claims.
• Legal obligation — tax, accounting, customs, export and consumer-law record keeping.
• Legitimate interests — running and securing our website, preventing fraud, improving our products, and contacting existing customers about similar products (you can object at any time).
• Consent — marketing to people who are not customers, non-essential cookies and advertising tools, and any optional information you choose to give us. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

Your rights. Subject to law, you may request access to your information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability of information you gave us in a machine-readable form, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing at any time. Use the contact details above; we do not charge for these requests.

International transfers. We are based in Australia and use service providers in the United States, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore and elsewhere, so your information leaves your country. Australia does not currently have an EU adequacy decision. Where required, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum / International Data Transfer Agreement for UK transfers) with our providers, together with the safeguards those providers publish, and we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with Australian Privacy Principle 8.

Complaints to your own regulator. As well as contacting us, you may complain to your local authority — your EU member state's data protection authority, the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner New Zealand (privacy.org.nz), or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca). California residents may request details of the categories of personal information collected and disclosed, request deletion, and opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising; we do not sell personal information.

Direct marketing

Marketing emails and SMS are sent in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and, for overseas recipients, applicable local rules including the GDPR/ePrivacy consent requirements and Canada's anti-spam legislation. Every marketing message identifies us and carries a working unsubscribe method, and we action opt-outs promptly — within five business days at the latest. Transactional messages about an order you have placed are not marketing.
