International FAQ
How much does international shipping actually cost?+
Air freight on a single boat package typically runs AUD $950 to $2,400 depending on destination. NZ and Asia-Pacific are cheapest; North America, UK and the EU are at the upper end. Every quote breaks down freight, duties and taxes separately so you see the full landed cost before paying anything.
What's DDP and why do you keep mentioning it?+
DDP = Delivered Duty Paid. We pay all import duties, taxes and VAT/GST up-front and roll them into one quote. When the boat arrives at your door there is nothing extra to pay the carrier or customs — what you paid is what it costs. Available to most of NZ, US, UK, EU, Singapore, HK, Japan, UAE.
What if DDP isn't available in my country?+
Then we ship DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) via DHL Express or UPS. We still quote you the estimated landed cost so you know what to expect, but you (or your customs broker) pay the duties on arrival. We'll explain the exact process for your country.
How do I pay from overseas?+
Three options. (1) Card payment via Stripe in your local currency (USD, GBP, EUR, NZD, SGD, etc.). (2) Bank wire / international transfer — we send full instructions. (3) For boat packages over AUD $5k we accept 50% deposit + 50% before dispatch.
How long does it take from order to my door?+
Stock boats: 3–5 days to dispatch + 7–21 days air freight depending on country. Custom-spec builds: 4–6 weeks build + freight. We send tracking from the carrier (DHL Express in most cases) the day it ships.
What about warranty if I'm in another country?+
Hull warranty applies worldwide — same 24 months on the boat, lifetime on seams. For repairs we ship parts (air decks, valves, patches) by DHL Air Express at our cost during warranty. We have not yet had a hull fault that needed return-to-Australia repair.
