Buy once. Cry once.

There's a lot of cheap inflatable coming out of the market right now.

You'll see 3.8-metre boats advertised for under A$2,000. They look the part in the photos. Then the first UV summer hits, the first oyster lease brushes the tube, and the fabric starts chalking, cracking, delaminating at the seams.

One or two seasons and it's landfill. That's not a boat — that's a rental you paid up front for.

About this boat

The story behind the build

Aerowave Sport Series — Offshore Inflatable Boat

The Aerowave Sport Series is a deep-V monohull inflatable built for Australian coastal and offshore conditions. With a rigid aluminium floor, reinforced keel, and choice of premium Valmex PVC or Hypalon construction, it delivers the tracking stability and solid underfoot feel that serious boaters expect.

What's Included

Every Sport Series package is supplied ownership-ready — not a stripped-back hull that leaves you sourcing essentials after delivery.

  • Aluminium seat (two seats on 360, 380 and 420; one seat on 320 and below)
  • Rigid aluminium floor system
  • Stainless steel D-rings and handles

Why the Sport Series

Deep-V offshore control — Cuts through chop with true monohull tracking, not flat-bottom wandering.

Rigid underfoot feel — The aluminium floor eliminates flex when loading gear, moving about, or standing to fish or dive.

Material choice — Valmex PVC for strong UV and abrasion resistance, or Hypalon for maximum long-term durability in harsh sun and tropical heat.

Australian support — Build guidance on size, power and configuration before you order; backup when you need it after delivery.

Best Suited For

  • Coastal and offshore runs where tracking and rigidity matter
  • Diving, spearfishing and reef fishing
  • Owners upgrading from lightweight SIBs or tenders
  • Buyers who want setup guidance on size and horsepower

Owner Feedback

"The first thing you notice is how solid the boat feels on the water. It tracks beautifully and handles chop far better than the lighter inflatables I've owned before." — Jason M., Byron Bay NSW

"This boat feels more like a small rigid hull than an inflatable. The stability when moving around fishing or diving is excellent." — Michelle M., Beacon Hill NSW

"What impressed me most is the confidence offshore in our 4.20m. Even with gear and passengers onboard the boat feels planted and predictable in rougher water." — Phillip S., Newtown NSW

Deep-V Monohull Performance

Unlike flat-bottom inflatables, the Sport Series behaves like a performance monohull offshore. The deep-V hull cuts through chop rather than skipping across it. Higher side tubes keep spray down. The aluminium floor adds rigidity that lighter recreational boats cannot match.

Material Options

Valmex PVC — 1.2mm German Mehler Commercial-grade marine fabric with thermo-welded seams, excellent UV resistance and strong abrasion protection.

Hypalon — 1.0mm Premium Marine Superior long-term UV and heat durability. Recommended for tropical exposure, commercial use or owners who want the longest service life.

Recommended Accessory

Most Sport Series buyers add the 22 PSI electric air pump to reduce setup time and hit pressure accurately before every trip.

Frequently Asked Questions

How stable is the Sport Series offshore? The deep-V hull and rigid aluminium floor combine for planted, predictable handling in chop. It tracks and feels more like a small rigid hull than a typical inflatable.

What engine size should I choose? Between 4HP and 30HP depending on hull length, typical load and sea state. We match horsepower to your real use before ordering so the package is balanced and safe.

What is the difference between Valmex PVC and Hypalon? Valmex PVC is a premium German marine fabric with excellent UV, abrasion and saltwater resistance. Hypalon offers maximum long-term durability in harsh sun, heat and commercial exposure.

Is the Sport Series suitable for diving and offshore fishing? Yes. It is designed for reef fishing, diving, spearfishing and longer coastal runs where rigidity and offshore capability matter.

How long does production take? Approximately 4–5 weeks outside peak periods. A 50% deposit secures your build slot.

Can the boat be registered in Australia? Yes. Every boat is supplied with CE plate, HIN and conformity documentation to streamline state marine authority registration.

What warranty is included? 5-year manufacturer structural warranty covering the main hull and structural components.

Are there hidden shipping costs? No. Australian deliveries include free express delivery — duties, taxes and import handling are covered. Optional DHL Express air freight is available at quoted cost.

Will my price change after ordering? No. Your total price is locked once the order is confirmed and deposit received.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does the VALMEX® fabric actually last?

10–12 years of real-world use. It's the same German-made 1500 GSM / 1.2mm (or 1100 GSM / 0.9mm on AeroCat) fabric used in commercial and rescue boats.

Is it CE certified?

Yes — all Aerowave catamarans are CE certified to ISO 6185-3 and EU Directive 2013/53/EU. Australian state Boat Code Certification is a separate step handled by the owner.

How does delivery work?

Air freight 7–14 days (A$810 customer share) or FREE sea freight 30–40 days. International orders: 14–21 day build + 7–14 day DHL — roughly 3–5 weeks door-to-door.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. WavePay lets you split the boat into 4 fortnightly payments at 0% interest — no credit check, no fees. Or apply for finance via our AMMF partner from the product page.

What's the warranty?

3-year fabric warranty on the hull, plus lifetime seam guarantee. Replacement parts held in Australia and our Hong Kong hub — shipped DHL Express to your door.

Is it refundable?

Boats are custom-built to order and non-refundable (WavePay instalments 1–2 fund manufacturing). Accessories are refundable within 14 days. Australian Consumer Law rights always apply.
