1. The two ways to receive a boat

Every Easy Inflatables boat ships door-to-door, fully insured. Inside Australia you pick one of two domestic options at the cart. Outside Australia your boat ships from our Hong Kong fulfilment hub via DHL / FedEx Express in 7–14 days.

  • Option 1 — FREE Sea Freight

    Approx 30–40 days · $0 for metro & major-regional Australia · +A$600 for true remote zones.

  • Option 2 — Express Air

Approx 7–14 days · flat A$600 fully landed to every Australian postcode (freight, GST, import duty & customs all included · no remote-zone add-on).

2. FREE Economy Sea Freight (Australia)

Your boat travels in a container from our build facility to an Australian port (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth or Fremantle), clears customs, and is then trucked to your door. Sea freight is by far the cheapest way to ship a boat, so we wear the cost in metro and major-regional postcodes.

  • Door-to-door delivery on the standard capital-city & major-regional courier network — $0 extra.
  • Australian customs clearance & GST included.
  • Full insurance the entire time the boat is in transit.
  • Total time from order to door is typically 10–14 weeks (build + sea + last mile).

3. Express Air Delivery (Australia)

When your timeline is tight, upgrade to Express Air at the cart for a flat A$600 fully landed to every Australian postcode. That price includes DHL / FedEx door-to-door air freight, GST, import duty and customs clearance — no remote-zone add-on, no surprise courier bill on arrival. The real lane cost runs A$1,600–1,800; Easy Inflatables absorbs the difference so landed price stays competitive.

4. Sea-freight remote-zone contribution

Free Economy Sea Freight is door-to-door only as far as the destination capital-city + major-regional courier network. True remote postcodes need an additional dedicated truck leg, which the customer contributes toward at a flat A$600. Express Air is unaffected — it stays A$600 fully landed to every postcode, remote zones included.

  • Northern Territory — Darwin, Alice Springs & remote NT (0800–0899)
  • Far-North Queensland — Townsville, Cairns, Cape York (4700–4899)
  • Remote Western Australia — outside Perth metro (6700–6799)
  • Tasmania regional / west coast — outside Hobart metro (7200–7470)
  • Outback South Australia — Coober Pedy, APY Lands (5700–5799)

5. International — instant DDU checkout

International orders dispatch from our Hong Kong fulfilment hub by DHL / FedEx / UPS Express, door-to-door, fully insured, 7–14 day transit. There is no other dispatch origin — every international order leaves Hong Kong by air.

Why DDU across the board? DHL, FedEx and UPS all collect local duty and VAT direct from the consignee on final delivery. Loading that overhead into the headline price would cost buyers more than the duty itself. Paying the courier direct keeps our landed price honest and matches how every major cross-border retailer operates.

6. Duty & VAT on arrival

Under Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) terms, the price you pay us covers the boat, packaging, insurance and door-to-door air freight. Import duty and VAT / GST are payable by you directly to DHL, FedEx or UPS before final delivery. The carrier contacts you by email or SMS during customs clearance with a payment link — no surprise invoice.

  • EU-27: local VAT (typically 19–25%) + ≈2.7% duty on the CIF value
  • United Kingdom: UK VAT 20% + ≈2.7% duty on the CIF value
  • United States: ≈2.4% MFN duty (HS 8903.10) + MPF ≈0.3464% (min US$32) + DHL/FedEx disbursement fee US$70–$150
  • Canada: GST 5% (+ provincial where applicable) + ≈9.5% duty
  • Switzerland / Norway: local VAT + duty, collected by DHL on arrival
  • Rest of world: as advised by local customs; the courier issues the invoice

Every international shipment ships with a commercial invoice, packing list, HS 8903.10 classification and CE / Statement of Origin documentation so customs clearance is straightforward.

7. Accessories — ships worldwide

Every accessory in our catalogue — bimini tops, wheel kits, air tents, pumps, seats, bow bags and outboards* — ships worldwide on the same DDU basis as our boats. Prices display in your local currency at checkout, freight is included, and any local duty or VAT is payable to the courier on arrival.

Small accessories typically ship by DHL / FedEx Express in 3–7 business days. Australian domestic accessory orders ship on our standard fast-dispatch network.

* Hidea petrol outboards are subject to dangerous-goods air freight rules; see Section 10 for outboard-specific delivery.

8. Rest of world — 1-business-day quote

Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, UAE, the Pacific Islands, Asia, Africa, South America and any country not listed above — please use our International Quote form. We reply within one business day with delivery cost, lead time and a binding landed price quoted in your currency.

Please include your full delivery address on the quote form — DHL / FedEx / UPS price Express Delivery by full address, not just country or postcode. Without it we can only give a rough estimate.

9. Delivery access & tracking

Boats are delivered to kerbside / driveway at the front of the property. The courier is not required to bring the boat through gates, around houses, up stairs or down embankments. Please make sure:

  • An adult is available to sign for the delivery, or
  • You've left a written Authority to Leave and a safe drop location
  • Vehicle access suits a small truck or delivery van

Tracking link is emailed at dispatch; DHL / FedEx offer real-time milestone tracking from pickup through customs to your door.

10. Hidea & Haswing outboards

Hidea outboard motors ship by Australian domestic courier on a flat A$350 delivery rate to any Australian capital city. Outside capital cities, please contact us for a delivery quote.

Haswing electric outboards and accessories ship under our standard delivery framework — included on most listings, with any additional contribution shown at checkout based on your postcode.

11. Damage, loss & force majeure

In the unlikely event your boat arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact sales@easyinflatables.com.au within 48 hours of delivery for damage claims. Retain all packaging and include photos of the damage and the outer carton.

Genuinely lost shipments are rebuilt and re-dispatched at no further cost once the freight partner's investigation completes (typically 30–60 days).

Global freight is occasionally affected by events outside our control — natural disasters, port strikes, customs inspections, biosecurity holds, war, sanctions, pandemic restrictions or major weather. Where a delay is caused by such an event, the original delivery window may be extended without entitlement to refund of the order, beyond your non-excludable consumer rights.

12. Certification & documents

Every Aerowave boat ships with the documentation required for Australian state and territory registration (Statement of Conformity, HIN, tax invoice). Where state-level certification (e.g. NSW Boat Code) is required, the inspection is the owner's responsibility — we supply every document required to support it.

International buyers receive standard manufacturer documentation (CE conformity to ISO 6185-3 + EU Directive 2013/53/EU, Statement of Origin, commercial invoice, packing list) to support registration and import clearance in your country.

13. Shipping FAQ

Does the price at checkout include freight?

Yes. For 30+ supported countries the price you see is fully landed freight — boat + crate + door-to-door air freight via DHL or UPS, quoted in your local currency. Nothing else is billed by us after checkout.

What is DDU and what will I owe on arrival?

DDU stands for Delivered Duty Unpaid. Freight is prepaid; local import duty and VAT/GST are billed to you directly by the carrier (DHL or UPS) before final delivery. This is the same model used by every major cross-border retailer.

Typical rates on the boat value + freight:

  • UK: ~2.7% duty + 20% VAT
  • EU-27: ~2.7% duty + 19–25% VAT (varies by country)
  • USA: ~2.4% duty, no federal sales tax
  • Canada: ~9.5% duty + 5–15% GST/HST
  • Switzerland / Norway: ~0–2.7% duty + 7.7–25% VAT
  • Rest of world: per local customs schedule

DHL/UPS contact you by SMS/email with the exact figure and a secure link to pay before they release the shipment. No cash on delivery.

How do accessories ship internationally?

Every accessory (Biminis, wheel kits, seats, bags, pumps, floors, outboards) ships worldwide on the same DDU basis via DHL / UPS Express, typically 3–7 business days from Sydney. Checkout is in your local currency (13+ supported), freight is included in the price shown, and any duty or VAT is collected by the carrier on arrival — exactly as with the boats.

Why isn't duty/VAT included in the price?

Import duty and VAT are set by your government, not by us, and can change between order and arrival. Charging them at checkout would mean either over-collecting (and holding your money) or under-collecting (leaving a bill at the border). DDU keeps the transaction transparent — you pay the official rate directly to the customs authority via DHL/UPS.

What if I refuse the duty/VAT invoice from the carrier?

Because every boat is custom-built to your order, refusing the carrier's duty/VAT invoice does not entitle you to a refund of the boat. The shipment is held or returned to Sydney at the buyer's cost, and outbound freight, return freight and storage remain payable. Refunds are only issued where the Australian Consumer Law requires them. Please confirm your local duty/VAT rate before ordering — the ranges above are a reliable guide.

My country isn't in the 30+ list — can I still order?

Yes. Use the International Quote form and you'll get a written DDU price (freight included, duty/VAT on arrival) within one business day.
