1. Warranty at a glance

Here's what you're covered for when you buy an Easy Inflatables boat.

  • Years 1–5 — limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship across all covered boat components (hull fabric, seams, air deck, valves, floors, fittings and factory-fitted parts).
  • Years 6–7 — extended limited hull coverage for major structural defects in the hull fabric and welded seams only, subject to inspection and proof of continued proper care and maintenance. Valves, floors, fittings, accessories and wear items are not covered during the extended period.
  • Accessories — covered for 1 year against manufacturing defects.

Effective date: the 5–7 Year Limited Hull Warranty applies to orders placed on or after 1 June 2026. Boats purchased before that date are covered by the previous 5-Year Limited Hull Warranty; the extended Years 6–7 hull cover does not apply to those earlier orders.

Built to international standard. All Aerowave inflatable catamarans and monohulls are constructed to comply with ISO 6185-3 (the international standard for inflatable boats) and the EU Recreational Craft Directive 2013/53/EU. Every boat ships with its CE plate (HIN, builder, max load and rated outboard) and a Statement of Conformity from the manufacturer. Australian Boat Code Certification / HIN check and state registration are a separate step the owner completes locally — Easy Inflatables provides all supporting documentation but does not perform the state registration itself.

3. What the boat warranty covers

Easy Inflatables provides a Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for eligible products during the applicable warranty period. Covered components on Easy Inflatables boats include:

  • inflatable tubes — fabric integrity, seams, buoyancy and air-tightness;
  • high-pressure air-deck floors;
  • aluminium floors;
  • oars, seats, handles, D-rings, seat webbing and oar holders;
  • valves and standard factory-fitted components.

Coverage applies only to faults arising from manufacturing defects or defective materials under normal recreational use and correct care.

4. Accessory warranty

Easy Inflatables accessories are covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects, including:

  • pumps;
  • boat bags and carry bags;
  • anchors;
  • boat covers;
  • biminis;
  • under-seat bags and bow bags;
  • rod holders and similar accessories.

There is no warranty coverage for damage resulting from self-installation, incorrect fitting, over-tightening or unauthorised modification.

5. Conditions for cover

This warranty applies to products purchased directly from Easy Inflatables or through an authorised sales channel, unless otherwise stated in writing.

To keep the warranty valid:

  • follow the Operation and Maintenance Manual;
  • use the product within its design and horsepower limits;
  • maintain correct inflation pressures;
  • wash down and store the boat appropriately after use;
  • carry out normal preventive care and maintenance.

Transferability. The new-boat warranty is granted to the original retail purchaser named on the tax invoice and is not transferable on private sale, gift, auction, business sale, deceased estate transfer, repossession, insurance write-off or onward export, unless Easy Inflatables agrees in writing. A second-hand buyer has no warranty claim against Easy Inflatables. See clause 28.2 of the Terms & Conditions of Trade.

6. Choice of remedy on custom-built boats

Easy Inflatables boats are custom-built, made-to-order marine products manufactured, allocated, imported and configured specifically for each customer. They are not standard returnable stock.

Under Australian Consumer Law, where a fault is not a major failure, the supplier has the right to choose the remedy — repair, replacement of the affected part, or replacement of the product — within a reasonable time. A refund is not the default remedy for a non-major fault. The same principle is set out in our Order, Payment & Refund Policy.

  • Component faults (for example a floor, valve, seam, fitting, air-deck or accessory issue) will normally be remedied by repair or replacement of the affected component.
  • Whole-boat replacement may be offered at Easy Inflatables' discretion where a hull is independently assessed as not economically repairable.
  • Refunds are issued only where required by Australian Consumer Law — for example, an established major structural failure that cannot be repaired or replaced within a reasonable time.
  • Once a custom-built boat has been ordered, allocated, delivered, accepted or used, change-of-mind refunds are not available, and refunds will not be issued for minor, cosmetic, repairable, component-level or non-major issues.

This clause does not exclude, restrict or modify any non-excludable rights under Australian Consumer Law; it sets out how those rights apply to custom-built marine products.

7. How to make a claim

If a product develops what appears to be a warranty issue, please contact Easy Inflatables (or the authorised dealer from whom the product was purchased) before returning any goods.

  1. Email or write to us with the claim request.
  2. Include the model number, HIN or boat code number, purchase date, contact details and a clear description of the issue.
  3. Attach clear photos or a short video to help us assess the fault promptly.

Easy Inflatables has the right to inspect and assess the product before approving any warranty remedy. If a claim is accepted, the remedy may include repair, replacement or another appropriate solution at our discretion, subject to Australian Consumer Law.

8. Return freight for warranty assessment

Easy Inflatables follows section 263 of the Australian Consumer Law on return freight:

  • For small parts and accessories that can be returned without significant cost (valves, pumps, bags, fittings, oars, seats), the customer is generally asked to return the item using the most economical method, with reimbursement available where the claim is accepted.
  • For inflatable boats, catamarans, outboard engines and other items that cannot be returned, removed or transported without significant cost because of their size, weight or method of attachment, Easy Inflatables will arrange and pay for return collection where the ACL requires — including all valid rejections for a major failure.
  • For non-warranty inspections (for example where no defect is found, or the fault is excluded under Section 19), reasonable inspection, freight and handling fees may apply.

9. What happens when a claim is accepted

  • For smaller warranty issues, repairs may be carried out by our NSW-based repair support network.
  • For larger accepted claims, Easy Inflatables may provide a replacement boat at no charge for the replacement product itself. Where a replacement is approved, dispatch is generally arranged within 30 days of claim acceptance, subject to production availability and freight timing.
  • Where a component can be repaired or replaced within a reasonable time, that repair or replacement is the remedy. A whole-boat refund is reserved for circumstances where the Australian Consumer Law requires it, such as an established major structural failure that cannot be repaired or replaced within a reasonable time.
  • Where a refund is required under the Australian Consumer Law, it is provided in accordance with Sections 14–15 of the Order, Payment & Refund Policy.

Advance replacement — return of the faulty component. Where Easy Inflatables agrees to ship a replacement part (tube, air-deck, floor, valve, pump, seat, fitting, cover or accessory) before the faulty item is received back, the replacement is supplied on the condition that the faulty item is returned to Easy Inflatables within 14 days of the customer receiving the replacement. Return freight by standard Australia Post for a component of this kind is typically $35–$45; where the ACL requires Easy Inflatables to bear return freight, it will be paid or reimbursed.

If the faulty component is not returned within 14 days, is refused, or is returned in a condition that prevents warranty assessment, the warranty claim is withdrawn and the replacement is deemed to have been supplied as a normal retail sale. The current retail price of the replacement component (commonly in excess of AUD $1,000 for major parts), plus freight, GST and payment-processing fees, becomes payable as a debt and may be charged to the customer's card on file or invoiced for payment within 7 days. Full terms are set out in Section 13 of the Order, Payment & Refund Policy.

10. Spare parts and repair facilities

Easy Inflatables maintains spare parts and repair facilities (in-house and through its NSW repair support network) for the following minimum periods from the date of original supply:

Product familySpare parts and repair availability
Aerowave Sport, Sport Series, Viper Series, WaveRunner Series 37 years
Aerowave AeroCat Series (330, 360, 380)5 years
WaveRunner Series 1 and 2 (legacy)5 years
Accessories2 years
Hidea outboard enginesAs provided by Hidea Australia (typically 7 years)

For models or components that are discontinued, superseded or imported under a one-off allocation, spare parts and repair facilities may not be available beyond the stated period and, by giving this notice in accordance with section 58 of the Australian Consumer Law, Easy Inflatables limits its obligation accordingly. Where direct replacement is not available, Easy Inflatables may offer an equivalent or upgraded part.

11. Inflation pressure notice

Boats must be maintained within the manufacturer's recommended inflation pressure range. Extreme heat can increase internal pressure and may permanently damage tubes, seams, floors or fittings.

Damage caused by operation or storage outside the recommended pressure range is not covered by this warranty. Customers should regularly check pressure and release air when required in hot conditions.

12. Care and maintenance

  • Storage — if storing outdoors, use a suitable cover and minimise direct UV exposure.
  • Protection — keep tubes and floors away from sharp objects, hooks and abrasive surfaces.
  • Inflation — follow recommended pressure levels and re-check pressure in changing weather.
  • Fishing tip — use a separate fish bin or protective storage to reduce abrasion, puncture and odour damage.

13. Hidea outboard engine warranty

Hidea outboard engines are covered under the manufacturer's own warranty terms. Based on current supplier information, Hidea provides a 5-year (3+2) warranty structure in Australia, comprising an initial 3-year manufacturer warranty plus a further 2-year period subject to Hidea's conditions. Warranty administration, parts supply and additional terms for Hidea engines are subject to Hidea's own policy and dealer network conditions.

Supplier responsibility under the ACL. The Hidea manufacturer warranty is in addition to the consumer guarantees that apply under the Australian Consumer Law. As the supplier, Easy Inflatables remains liable to the consumer for the statutory consumer guarantees (acceptable quality, fit for purpose, etc.) on the Hidea engines it sells, even where Hidea or its Australian distributor handles the day-to-day warranty administration. Customers may contact Easy Inflatables to assist with co-ordinating a Hidea warranty claim.

14. Non-consumer and commercial purchases

Where the customer is acquiring the goods for re-supply, commercial hire, charter, instructional, racing, rescue or other commercial use, or the goods or services are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, certain ACL consumer-guarantee provisions may not apply, or are limited.

To the extent permitted by section 64A of the ACL, and where the goods or services are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or consumption, Easy Inflatables' liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited (at Easy Inflatables' option) to:

  • in the case of goods: the replacement of the goods, the supply of equivalent goods, the repair of the goods, the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods, or the payment of the cost of having the goods repaired; or
  • in the case of services: the re-supply of the services or the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.

This clause does not apply to any guarantee that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by Easy Inflatables under the ACL.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  1. Easy Inflatables is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage.
  2. Easy Inflatables is not liable for loss arising from self-installed accessories, unauthorised modifications or use outside recommended limits.
  3. Easy Inflatables' maximum liability under this voluntary warranty is limited to the original purchase price of the product, except where Australian Consumer Law provides otherwise.

16. Warranty Against Defects — required disclosure

This section is provided in the form required by regulation 90 of the Competition and Consumer Regulations 2010 (Cth).

The benefits given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer at law.

What the warranty covers. Defects in materials or workmanship in eligible products during the applicable warranty period set out in Section 2.

What the warranty does not cover. The matters listed in Section 19.

What the consumer must do to claim under the warranty.

  1. Contact Easy Inflatables in writing at sales@easyinflatables.com.au, or by phone on +61 2 4335 1603, within the applicable warranty period.
  2. Provide proof of purchase, the model and HIN / serial number, the date of purchase and a clear description of the issue with photos or a short video.
  3. Make the product reasonably available for inspection or, where applicable, arrange return shipping as set out in Section 8.

What Easy Inflatables will do. Assess the claim and, where the warranty applies, repair the affected component, replace the affected component, or (in its discretion or where required by the ACL) replace the product within a reasonable time. Refunds are issued only where Australian Consumer Law requires them.

Who bears the expense of claiming the warranty. Where the claim is valid and the goods cannot be returned without significant cost, Easy Inflatables bears the cost of return collection in accordance with Section 8 and section 263 of the ACL. Where a warranty inspection finds no defect or the defect is excluded under Section 19, the customer may be asked to pay reasonable inspection, freight and handling costs.

Mandatory text required by regulation 90.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

17. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Customers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Customers are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

For the corresponding deposit, payment, delivery, refund and chargeback terms — including how the "major failure" test applies after delivery of a custom-built boat — see the Order, Payment & Refund Policy.

18. International warranty

The 5–7 Year Limited Hull Warranty and our accessory / outboard warranties apply to all Easy Inflatables boats and accessories, including those delivered outside Australia. The same coverage, conditions and exclusions apply — there is no separate or reduced overseas warranty.

How international claims work:

  1. Email warranty@easyinflatables.com.au with photos, video and a description of the issue, plus your order number. We will assess within 5 business days, the same as Australian claims.
  2. For minor defects, we typically supply replacement parts (valves, seams patches, fittings, accessories) by international post or courier at our cost.
  3. For a major hull issue requiring assessment, return freight to our NSW workshop is arranged in writing case-by-case. Where a major failure under your local consumer law is established, Easy Inflatables covers return freight; where the claim is not accepted (e.g. impact damage, misuse, UV degradation outside warranty terms), return freight is the customer's responsibility.
  4. Where a replacement boat is supplied under warranty, it ships by the same international freight method as the original order (DDP, DDU or DHL Express).
  5. International customers remain responsible for destination-country duties, taxes and brokerage on any replacement shipment, in line with Section 13 of the Shipping Policy.

Commercial, charter and hire-and-drive use overseas requires our prior written agreement; otherwise the manufacturer-only warranty applies and our extended hull warranty is void (consistent with Section 14 above).

This international warranty section does not exclude, restrict or modify any non-excludable right or remedy you have under the consumer-protection law of your country.

19. What is not covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Commercial, hire, charter, instructional or racing use.
  • Sun or UV damage caused by improper storage or lack of protection.
  • Damage arising from self-installation of accessories or unauthorised modifications.
  • Use of excessive engine power, excessive weight or operation outside rated limits.
  • Misuse, neglect, improper docking, towing, storage or transport.
  • Collisions, punctures, cuts, abrasions or impact damage.
  • Corrosion, wear and tear, or deterioration from lack of maintenance.
  • Second-hand, pre-owned, demonstration or ex-display boats unless expressly agreed in writing.
  • Normal ageing, cosmetic wear and maintenance-related issues.
  • Sand or debris in valves, or issues caused by failure to clean the product after use.
  • Over-inflation, including heat-related pressure expansion beyond recommended levels.
  • Hoses, fittings, valves or connections damaged by over-tightening, stripping or incorrect handling.

20. Aerowave Rewards Card & auto-warranty updates

Every Aerowave boat owner receives a free digital Aerowave Rewards Card. The card is your on-the-water proof of ownership and warranty and lives in three places:

  • Your /account dashboard — always the source of truth.
  • A downloadable digital copy you can save on your phone.
  • The welcome email sent when your boat ships.

What appears on the card once you buy a boat. As soon as your Aerowave boat is dispatched from the factory, your Rewards Card is automatically updated with:

  • Your boat model and hull identification number (HIN).
  • The warranty period that applies to your boat (5-Year for AeroCat 330 / 360 / 380 and pre-1 Jun 2026 orders; 5–7 Year for Viper, Sport Series and WaveRunner Series 3 orders placed on or after 1 Jun 2026 — see Section 2).
  • Your warranty start date (the factory dispatch date).
  • Your warranty expiry date, calculated from the start date.
  • A scannable QR barcode linking back to your /account dashboard for our support team to verify cover instantly.

No paperwork needed. You do not need to register your boat, keep a paper card, or email us to activate the warranty — the update happens automatically when the boat ships. A fresh digital copy is available in your account whenever you need it.

Making a claim with the digital card. When you contact us under Section 7, quoting the Member Number on the front of your card (or letting our team scan the QR on the back) is the fastest way to confirm cover. The card itself is not a substitute for the warranty terms in this policy — the coverage set out in Sections 1–19 always governs. In the event of any discrepancy between the card and this policy, this policy prevails.

Losing or replacing the card. The card is digital and cannot be "lost" in the physical sense. If you change phones, sign in at /account and download or email yourself a fresh copy. Membership stays tied to your email address — see the Rewards Program Terms & Conditions for the full rules, including one card per email address and no cash redemption.

Selling your boat. The hull warranty attaches to the boat, not the card — see Section 5. If you sell the boat, contact us at sales@easyinflatables.com.au with the buyer's details and we will transfer the remaining warranty and issue the new owner their own Rewards Card where eligible. Your own Rewards Card remains yours (points balance, tier, member number) and is not transferred with the boat.

  • Boat model — the exact Aerowave you bought (e.g. Viper 400 Sovereign, AeroCat 360).
  • Warranty start — the factory dispatch date shown as the “Since” month/year on the front.
  • Warranty expiry — calculated automatically and shown in orange on the front.
