Boat in a bag

Look how easy it packs into the back of a Mazda CX-5.

Drop the two split rear seats and the whole rig slides straight in — boat, high-pressure Air Deck floor, both aluminium bench seats, the oars, the under-seat bag, the Bimini (pulled apart and packed flat), the 22 PSI lithium pump, a small scud-type anchor and accessories, plus the outboard, fuel tank and life jackets. No trailer, no boat ramp queue. Pull up, carry it down, and you're on the water.

The bag pictured has an actual AeroCat 360 packed inside it, with the high-pressure Air Deck floor added. Our boat bags take everything up to a Viper 430.

  • · Hull, Air Deck floor, 2× aluminium seats and oars all in the one bag
  • · Under-seat bag, dismantled Bimini, 22 PSI lithium pump and scud anchor alongside
  • · Fits a mid-size SUV boot with the rear seats folded
  • · Garage-friendly storage — no trailer parking

The AeroCat difference

Why it's the better 4.0 m catamaran

Hull fabric

1100 GSM

German VALMEX® 0.9 mm. Some cats on the market run 1050 GSM — ours is the heavier cloth in every square metre.

Rated to

40 hp

Serious headroom for two-up runs, gear and open-water chop.

Warranty

5 years

Hull, seams, air deck, valves and fittings — against the 3-year cover some others give.

Capacity

6 adults / 750 kg

Thermo-welded seams and a grilled transom with no plastic drain bungs to clog.

Transom
Fully horizontal grilled transom — open drainage, no bung, no plastic components. Plastic drain plugs collect prawn heads, weed and grit and become a permanent cleaning problem; ours flushes clear.
Packed Size — 1 × large Aerowave carry bag
~185cm x 80cm x 45cm — 1 bag for hull, removable floor, seats, pumps, repair kit and supplied accessories
Transom Height
400mm (as of 1 July 2026 — previously 405mm) — lower transom drops the prop deeper for more bite and eliminates ventilation & aeration at speed
Drainage
Grilled drain system — no plastic components. Plastic pop-up / bung drains trap prawn heads, weed and grit and are a nightmare to clean out; a grilled deck flushes clear every time.

LockPro Plus wheel kit — fitted during production

The stainless mounting plates are secured to the transom with eight lugs, and the wheel storage bag is included.

The lithium pump is suitable for the boat tubes, where the over-inflation valves control excess pressure.

Manufacturing quality control & compliance

Factory-to-door quality control and compliance checks

Before your boat leaves the factory, we run an eight-point quality control and compliance check against your exact order — fabric, seams, transom, inflation, fittings and pack list — so what arrives at your address is what you paid for.

1

Build sheet lock

Factory confirms hull colour, length, transom spec, floor type and fittings against your order before fabric is cut.

2

Fabric spec verification

We cross-check the VALMEX® GSM and thickness rating against the signed-off sample so the hull matches what was promised.

3

Seam and weld inspection

Every main seam, transom joint and chamber bond is pressure-tested and visually inspected before full inflation.

4

Transom and fitting stress check

Transom height, backing plate and motor-mount geometry are verified against the rated HP max for your model.

5

Chamber inflation test

Each air chamber is inflated to operating PSI and held to confirm no creep, leaks or valve faults before the boat is signed off.

6

Pre-shipment photo pack

We receive factory photos of your actual boat before it leaves, so any issue is caught before freight, not after.

7

Final pack-list audit

Seats, bags, Bimini, pump and accessories are checked off against your configured package list before the carton seals.

8

Door-step arrival check

You inspect on delivery. If anything does not match the compliance pack, we sort it — no arguments, no run-around.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the Viper and the AeroCat?

Both ranges use premium German VALMEX® fabric — the difference is thickness. Viper hulls use the heavier 1.2mm VALMEX® for maximum durability, while AeroCat hulls use a lighter 0.9mm VALMEX® so they fold smaller and pack lighter. That means the AeroCat packs down more easily into the Bluewater heavy-duty kit bag, making it simpler for one person to load, launch and store — while keeping the same twin-hull catamaran stability.

What motor suits the AeroCat 400?

The AeroCat 400 is rated up to 25HP 4-stroke short shaft, with 20–25HP recommended for most buyers depending on load and use.

Is delivery included?

Yes — delivery is included in the price of every boat. Your boat ships by express courier (DHL Express, FedEx or UPS) door-to-door, up to 2 weeks after it is built. GST, import duty and customs clearance are all covered, so there is nothing to pay on arrival. The only extra is a flat A$300 remote delivery fee for a small number of remote Australian postcodes — that is our own charge for the extra road leg, not a courier surcharge. Enter your postcode in the checkout box above to see if it applies.

What warranty do I get?

Every AeroCat is backed by our 5-Year Australian Structural Warranty — supported locally, not just an import promise.

Why is it priced below comparable 0.9mm imports?

We import direct and price the AeroCat ~$500 below comparable 0.9mm catamarans on the Australian market, while still including the Bimini, pump, wheel kit and accessory package options.

How do I inflate the hard AirDeck floor to 8–10 PSI?

Use the lithium pump only for the first minute, until the floor reaches approximately 2–2.5 PSI. Then change to the supplied manual pump to reach the recommended 8–10 PSI. Do not use the lithium pump to try to reach final AirDeck pressure; it will not work. The lithium pump is suitable for the boat tubes, and their over-inflation valves control excess pressure.
