Is the 1.5kW Fuber really enough for a 2.9m tender?
Yes — 1.5kW gives roughly 2.0 HP of usable thrust, which is ideal for a lightweight tender loaded with 2–4 adults. It's 50% more power than the Haswing Ultima 3.0 (which is 1.0kW despite the '3 HP' label).
How long will the battery last?
Roughly 1 hour at full throttle, 4 hours at half throttle, and 8 hours at trolling speed. Perfect for ship-to-shore runs, exploring quiet coves, or fishing.
Can I still fit a petrol outboard later?
Yes. The Tender 290 SI has an aluminium transom rated to 15 HP petrol if you ever want to swap.
Why not the Haswing 3.0?
The Fuber gives you 50% more usable power, full IP67 waterproofing, a built-in battery (no external box), and a live LCD tiller display. It's a genuine upgrade.
