Yes — 1.5kW gives roughly 2.0 HP of usable thrust, which is ideal for a lightweight tender loaded with 2–4 adults. It's 50% more power than the Haswing Ultima 3.0 (which is 1.0kW despite the '3 HP' label).
How long will the battery last?
Roughly 1 hour at full throttle, 4 hours at half throttle, and 8 hours at trolling speed. Perfect for ship-to-shore runs, exploring quiet coves, or fishing.
Can I still fit a petrol outboard later?
Yes. The Tender 290 SI has an aluminium transom rated to 15 HP petrol if you ever want to swap.
