1.2 mm against 0.9 mm is a third more fabric in every tube wall — the part that meets mooring poles, submerged branches, boat ramps, gravel and roof-rack straps.
UV and heat take longer to reach the core
Australian UV attacks the coating first. A thicker coating layer means the reinforcing scrim stays protected for years longer.
Welded seams have more to bite into
Thermo-welded seams fuse through the coating. More coating means a deeper, stronger weld and far more resistance to peel.
It is why we can back it for 7 years
The Viper hull carries 5 years standard plus extended Years 6–7 cover. We only offer that on the 1.2 mm hull.
Service life figures are based on Australian UV exposure with normal seasonal use and correct storage. Both fabrics are premium German VALMEX®-grade material — the Viper simply runs the heavier 1500 GSM / 1.2 mm spec.

No hidden import fees
Australia: the price you see is the landed price to your door.
For Australian deliveries freight, GST, import duty and customs clearance are all included and already paid before your boat ships. Nothing to pay the courier, no customs invoice weeks later.
Shipping overseas? Freight is still included in the price. Your own country’s import duty and VAT / GST are payable on arrival unless your quote says we’re covering them — we’ll give you the exact figure before you pay.
Australian designed, shipped from Hong Kong. Every boat is designed and engineered on the NSW Central Coast, then built to our spec offshore. International orders ship direct from our Hong Kong dispatch hub — that is how we keep the landed price competitive instead of doubling or tripling the freight by routing through Australia first.

What makes the Sovereign different from a standard inflatable boat?
Its twin-hull catamaran design focuses on stability at rest, while the 8-10 PSI maximum high-pressure floor gives a firmer, more rigid feel underfoot. It is also supplied as a complete flagship package.
Why is the Sovereign still positioned as the flagship Viper 400?
The Sovereign is the flagship enclosed-bow model. The new show-special price gives buyers a stronger value entry point while still delivering the more refined layout, premium feel and top Viper ownership package.
What motor suits the Viper 400 Sovereign?
The Sovereign is rated up to 40HP 4-stroke short shaft, with 30HP 4-stroke short shaft recommended for many buyers depending on load and use.
Why does the 8-10 PSI maximum air deck matter?
A higher-pressure air deck gives a firmer, more confidence-inspiring underfoot feel when standing, fishing, loading gear or moving around on board.
Is delivery included?
Yes — every boat includes Express Delivery Credit included — Australia-wide, approximately 30 days door-to-door. Our new direct Hong Kong → Sydney sea service runs about 14 days, then Australian customs and biosecurity clearance, then courier delivery to your door. Your price includes GST, import duties and standard delivery — no surprise charges on arrival. Express courier delivery (DHL Express, FedEx or UPS) is included in the price — 7–10 days door-to-door after manufacture. Remote-area addresses may incur a checkout-calculated surcharge.
What makes it better for Australian conditions?
Premium German VALMEX® 7321 Heavy Plus 1.2mm commercial-grade fabric, thermo-welded seams, over-inflation safety valves, strong support and a practical package spec all help suit real Australian use.
Can I get the Sovereign with aluminium floorboards instead of the air deck?
Yes — from 15 June 2026 the Sovereign 400 is available with marine-grade aluminium floorboards and an inflatable keel as a +$500 upgrade. The standard build still ships with the 8-10 PSI maximum high-pressure air deck (77kg). The aluminium floorboard + keel option adds rigidity for serious fishing, standing casting and heavier loads, and brings the all-up boat weight to roughly 92kg. Choose your preferred floor on the product page before adding to cart — if no option is selected, the standard air deck is supplied.

- Is this really an Australian product?
- Yes — Australian designed and engineered on the NSW Central Coast. Manufacturing is done offshore to our spec, and international orders ship direct from our Hong Kong dispatch hub. If we routed every boat through Australia first, the freight alone would roughly double or triple your cost for the same hull.
- What do I pay, and what is not included?
- The price you see is the boat with freight already included on our supported lanes. Import duty and local taxes are payable by you on arrival — we do not hide them inside the price, and we do not pretend they do not exist.
- How do I pay safely?
- Card through Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or bank transfer. Card payments carry your bank's own dispute protection. We never ask for crypto, gift cards or payment to a personal account.
- What if it arrives damaged?
- Every boat ships fully tracked and insured door to door. Photograph the carton and the boat on arrival and email us — transit damage is claimed and replaced through us, not left with you and the courier.
- Is the warranty real outside Australia?
- Yes. The 7-year hull warranty on 1.2 mm VALMEX Heavy Plus and Orca Hypalon hulls applies wherever you are. Replacement parts are held in Australia and at our overseas hub and go out by express courier to your door.
- Is the boat actually certified?
- All Aerowave catamarans are CE certified to ISO 6185-3 and EU Directive 2013/53/EU. Certification paperwork is supplied with the boat — ask and we will send it before you order.
