Compliance & Safety Made Simple
If this is your first boat, the compliance and registration side can feel confusing. We keep it simple and guide you through exactly what is usually required — so you can focus on getting out on the water.
No confusion. No guesswork.
We explain what you need, supply the key documents typically used for registration, and help you understand the process before your boat arrives.
Built to proven international standards
Our boats are built to recognised international safety standards. In simple terms, this means they are designed to be stable, carry load properly and perform safely in real conditions.
ISO 6185
Covers how inflatable boats are built, including strength, chamber design and structure.
ISO 12217-1
Covers stability and buoyancy — how the boat sits and behaves on the water.
How registration works in simple terms
In Australia, most boats need to be registered before use. Depending on your state and the type of boat, this may include a simple inspection process, often called a Boat Code or similar.
This is a standard process handled locally in your state. If it applies to your situation, we explain what is usually involved so you know exactly what to do — without confusion or guesswork.
What you get with your boat
Full tax invoice for ownership and registration purposes
Statement of conformity based on applicable international standards
Key boat specifications, including capacity and recommended power (CE- plate and HIN provided on all boats as standard)
Clear guidance if your state requires a simple inspection
Most customers find this process straightforward, and we point you in the right direction if it applies.
Typical registration steps for first-time buyers
The exact process can vary by state, but this is the simple path most buyers follow:
Step 1
Buy your boat and receive your tax invoice, statement of conformity and key boat details from us.
Step 2
Check your state registration requirements. If a local inspection or Boat Code is needed, this is arranged by you in your state.
Step 3
Take your documents and any required inspection paperwork to your local registration authority and complete registration.
We are not Boat Code agents or inspectors, but we do help customers understand the usual process and documents needed before they begin. Normally they will just check CE plate & HIN number already on the boat and you then pay a small fee for the convenience. Our boats conform to the above CE International standards.
Built for real use — not just paperwork
A boat can tick compliance boxes and still not feel right on the water. That is why we focus on stability, durability and practical performance — so the boat feels solid, predictable and confidence-inspiring every time you use it.
