NSW water, region by region
Different water, different hull. Here's roughly how we'd point people depending on where they boat.
- Sydney & Pittwater
Ferry wash and harbour chop — a 3.8–4.0 m catamaran. See our Sydney page.
- Central Coast
Brisbane Water, Tuggerah Lakes and the Hawkesbury. Our home water.
- Newcastle, Hunter & Port Stephens
Big open bays; go 1.2 mm VALMEX and a 20–30 HP outboard.
- Illawarra & South Coast
Lake Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Batemans Bay — estuary work with the odd offshore day.
- Mid North Coast & Northern Rivers
Bar crossings and river mouths. Hull thickness matters more than horsepower.
- Inland NSW & the Riverina
Murray, Murrumbidgee and the dams — a light hull you can carry down a bank.

Full delivery detailsNSW registration and licensing

Our boats are fully registerable in Australia through a Boat Code operator certificate followed by state registration. Check current requirements with Transport for NSW before you launch.
Registration & boat codingQuestions we get asked locally
Do I need to register an inflatable boat in NSW?
In NSW, a powered vessel capable of 10 knots or more must be registered with Transport for NSW, and you need a boat licence to drive above 10 knots. Our boats are fully registerable in Australia: you obtain a Boat Code operator certificate, then register the vessel with the state.
Which inflatable boat suits NSW conditions?
For estuaries and lakes, an AeroCat catamaran in 1100 GSM / 0.9 mm VALMEX® is plenty. For open coast, bar crossings and long river runs, the Viper Series in 1500 GSM / 1.2 mm VALMEX® Heavy Plus is the hull to have — thicker fabric, more abrasion resistance, 10–12 year fabric life.
How much does an inflatable boat cost in NSW?
Delivered Australian pricing starts around A$3,495 for an AeroCat catamaran and A$4,595 for a Viper Series catamaran, GST included. Every listed price is the delivered price to an Australian address.
Do you deliver to regional NSW?
Yes — Newcastle, the Hunter, Port Stephens, Coffs Harbour, Ballina, Wollongong, the South Coast, Batemans Bay, Merimbula and inland to Dubbo, Wagga and the Riverina. Regional NSW addresses are inside our standard Australian delivery area.
Are your boats certified?
Every Aerowave catamaran is CE certified to ISO 6185-3 and EU Directive 2013/53/EU. Australian state registration through Boat Code is a separate step the owner completes, and we supply what you need for it.
