Aerowave soft-hull inflatable tender being brought ashore beside a yacht

A yacht tender should make life on the water easier: a dependable link between ship and shore, ready for everyday trips and built to handle years of use. Buying one from overseas should feel just as considered.

If you’re researching how to buy an inflatable tender internationally, the questions are usually practical: What will it cost delivered? Where does it ship from? How long will it take? What arrives with the boat, and who helps if you need support later?

At Easy Inflatables, we make those details clear before you order. Our boats are designed in Australia, built to our specifications and dispatched direct from our manufacturer with tracking. We offer free freight to 43 countries, with a written quote that explains freight and how duties and taxes are handled for your destination.

Aerowave inflatable boat on the water

Start with a written quote for your yacht and destination

A useful quote begins with the details that affect the boat and delivery: your destination country and postcode, the model you’re considering, and any preferences for colour, floor, seating or accessories. If you know how the tender will be stowed and used, include that too. A yacht’s locker, davits or deck space may influence which size and configuration makes sense.

Our international quote form is free and carries no obligation. A real person from our Australian team replies, normally within one business day. The quote sets out the selected boat and package, freight to your address, and the treatment of import duties and taxes. It also gives you a clear basis for comparing options.

Free freight is available to 43 countries. Import charges differ by destination: boat orders to the US, UK and New Zealand include freight, duty and taxes, with nothing to pay on arrival, while in the EU and most other free-freight countries local duty and taxes are paid to the carrier on arrival. Your quote makes clear what is included in the price and what, if anything, you’ll pay to the carrier at arrival. That distinction matters: “freight included” and “all import costs included” are not always the same thing.

If you’re considering a yacht tender delivered to the USA, or arranging delivery to the UK, ask for the destination-specific terms in writing before you proceed.

Build, quality checks and delivery

Some boats may be available from stock; others are built to order. A custom boat takes about three weeks to build, or up to four weeks for a Hypalon configuration, followed by delivery time. Your quote confirms the current timing for your model and destination.

Before dispatch, the completed boat is checked against its order specification. This includes key details such as fabric, seams, transom, inflation, fittings and package contents. The manufacturing process includes inspection and a final pack-list check, so the boat and accessories are matched to what you selected.

International orders ship direct from our manufacturer, rather than making an extra trip through Australia first. Express air delivery typically takes 7–10 days to the door after dispatch. When international air freight rates move sharply, we may send an undispatched boat by DDP sea freight instead (typically 30 to 40 days in transit) at no extra cost to you, as set out in our International Terms of Trade. Once the boat is on its way, tracking details help you follow its progress.

For owners who buy a tender boat from Australia, this is an important point of transparency: the design and customer support are Australian, while international orders ship direct from our manufacturer. You’ll know the delivery estimate before ordering.

What arrives in the delivery?

The contents depend on the model and package you choose. Your quote should itemise the boat and the included equipment, which may include a floor, seats, oars, pump, carry bag, repair kit and selected accessories. Outboards are generally not included with international orders, so confirm the full package and any locally sourced equipment with us before purchase.

The boat is packed for transport and delivered to the address agreed in your quote. If you’d like it sent directly to a marina, yacht club or agent, provide the full delivery details first and check that the carrier can deliver there.

Once unpacked, follow the model’s manual for inflation and assembly. Allow approximately 15 minutes for setup, depending on the model, equipment and your familiarity with the process. It’s sensible to check the package against the list, inspect the boat and packaging, and contact us promptly if something appears damaged or missing.

Compliance documents: important for European buyers

For a boat that will be used or registered in Europe, ask about the exact compliance documents supplied with your model. Aerowave catamarans are CE certified to ISO 6185-3 and the EU Recreational Craft Directive, 2013/53/EU. They carry a CE plate, and the manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity is supplied once the order is paid in full.

The RCD is relevant to European buyers because it sets requirements for recreational craft placed on the EU market. Before ordering, confirm that the CE plate and declaration correspond to the particular boat and configuration you’re buying. You can read the EU Directive 2013/53/EU for the regulatory framework.

Registration, identification and operating rules still depend on where you’ll use the tender. A CE plate is not a substitute for checking your local requirements. US owners should confirm applicable US and state rules, including any relevant marking or registration requirements; UK, Canadian and New Zealand owners should check their own authorities as well.

If the boat will be used in Australia, see our Safety & Compliance page and confirm registration rules with your state or territory marine authority.

Support after delivery, wherever you cruise

Buying internationally shouldn’t mean being left to work everything out alone. You’ll deal with Easy Inflatables’ Australian team for product guidance and after-sales support, including across time zones. Our international information sets out a worldwide warranty process; if you need help, contact us before arranging a repair so we can explain the next steps under the warranty terms. Where appropriate, we can help coordinate parts or an approved local repair.

For owners who move between hemispheres, clear records matter. Keep your order confirmation, invoice, CE documentation, manual and warranty information together with the boat’s records. If your cruising plans change, those details make it easier to discuss the boat with a local service provider or registration authority.

A more straightforward way to buy from overseas

International boat delivery involves more than putting a package on a plane. It means choosing a suitable model, confirming what is included, understanding the customs arrangements and having a clear line of communication from the first question through to delivery.

If you’re considering an inflatable tender for your yacht, start with your destination and intended use. We’ll help you compare the options and provide a free written quote that sets out the boat, freight, delivery estimate and applicable import charges.
